Nutrition and disease prevention is an important topic.
The connection between nutrition and disease prevention is still controversial. This valuable information is worth pursuing and an in-depth study perused by researches. But for now, the best advice that I can locate concerning nutrition and disease prevention is to eat a diet high in plant foods and low in animal fats.

The relationship between nutrition and disease prevention is being studied at NCI. In 1995 NCI's Peter Greenwald stated that after years of study and exhaustive research costing millions, that the research and information can only suggest general advice on how to decrease your chances of getting a serious disease. In the past 10 years health issues that may be tied to diet has risen at an alarming rate.

Increasingly, Americans are paying attention to the age old saying and possibly even taking it a few steps further, by eating their vegetables and using multivitamins in the hope of preventing cancer. As such, alternative medicine represents something of a corrective, whole-body approach to the conventional, specialized approach.

Having a healthy diet is one of the most important ways to protect against health problems.
A healthy diet is important for preventing disease, but it is also important because the effects of an unhealthy diet can also cause certain other medical conditions. Being obese or overweight can cause significant health problems and lead to an increased risk for many diseases. Also, a healthy diet has been shown to help reduce blood pressure. No single food provides all the nutrients required for the body to stay healthy. Do not go on crash diets that are very low in calories since they can be extremely harmful to your health.

Individuals who consumed more plant-based diets that were rich in beta-carotene and Vitamin C nutrients that are concentrated in fruits, vegetables and plant foods, have had a reduced risk for developing cancer. In contrast, people who eat diets that are high in animal fat, fairly rich and diets consisting of mainly meats, have an increase risk of cancer. So the healthier diet still remains basically an accepted way of reducing our risk of cancers. There is enough strong evidence to say that eating habits affect your risk, not only of cancer, but of heart disease, and diabetes, and that you should cut your fat, stay active and physically fit. Fruits and vegetables contain many anti-oxidants as well as other valuable vitamins which could possibly be helpful in reducing the risk of cancer.

There is excellent evidence that suggests diets rich in fruit and vegetables reduce the risk of developing chronic diseases, such as coronary heart disease and possibly some other serious diseases.
